Grenade was tasked with re-designing one of South Africa’s oldest and biggest Sunday newspapers, the Sunday Times!
Brief
We were approached by Times Media to develop a digital manifestation of the 100+ year old newspaper. The new website needed to be elegant, easy to digest, mobile first, uncluttered and an accurate representation of one of South Africa’s oldest household brands.
Process
Through extensive consulting with the Sunday Times business and editorial teams we developed an interface model ideally suited to meet commercial, editorial, and UI objectives. Grenade’s iterative consultation process ensured inclusion of all parties and ultimately a well-refined cohesive product.
Result
The new Sunday Times website acts as a modern extension of the historical newspaper. It adds additional transparency and depth to your sunday read in a manner that is familiar and concise. The design is understated and balanced ensuring a comfortable read, free of intrusion and distraction.
