Grenade Redesigns Carte Blanche Website

Are you a criminal, fraudster or general crook? Nor are we, but if we were there would be nothing more terrifying than Devi Sankaree Govender or any other member of the Carte Blanche team knocking at your door. Luckily when we were approached with the prospect of rebuilding the website for one of South Africa’s oldest running television shows, our only fear was not doing it justice. Fortunately for all involved the end result is a classy, timeless and easy to use specimen.

Here are a few of our favorite parts of the new Carte Blanche website:

Timeless design

The new design subtly bridges the gap between a traditional content site and modern design trends. It is familiar and easy to use, reinforces the Carte Blanche brand and introduces a healthy amount of modern design aesthetic.

Simplify and deliver

The new Carte Blanche website puts the user needs and content availability at the forefront. The no fuss, straight forward representation of content ensures users spend less time looking for a good read and more time enjoying a good read!

Current content

What is a site other than a server of content? The new Carte Blanche website is sure to keep you glued to your screen with regular, up to date content relating to the show and current affairs.

Video integration

Not only can you watch last Sunday’s episodes, you can also browse an archive of your favorite Carte Blanche stories.

Presenter profiles, blogs and social feeds

Follow your favorite presenters on Twitter and Facebook and get the inside track through their personal blog posts.

Story related discussions

You can now join the debate and create your own conversation around stories using the socially integrated discussion mechanics found on each story.

Custom Twitter integration

One of our favorite additions is the Twitter widget designed specifically for Carte Blanche. Via the widget, readers can follow conversations relating to the show (coming up, on air, next and past topics), see what is still to come and follow the editors featured/recommended tweets.
